FAQs

Is everything really gluten free?

Yes! Wagga Vegan Bakery wasn’t always fully gluten free, which is why there’s a few sneaky photos of Oreo and Biscoff flavoured goodies, but when I was diagnosed as Coeliac in 2024, my husband and I decided that for the sake of my health, our kitchen would become completely gluten free. It was disappointing at first, but it’s been really lovely to provide coeliac-safe desserts for those that usually miss out!

is everything really vegan?

You bet! I have been a strict vegan for years- I am very thorough when checking ingredients (why do some sprinkles contain dead bugs and fish gelatine??) and we don’t allow animal products in our kitchen, so rest assured that you are in good & competent hands and won’t be fed dead bugs when you buy from me <3

do you have a physical storefront?

No, Wagga Vegan Bakery is just a home based business with occasional popups at markets for now, but maybe one day!

Keep an eye on my social media to see when and where Wagga Vegan Bakery is popping up next! @waggaveganbakery on all platforms

How much notice do you need for custom orders?

Ideally at least a week or two, but the earlier you get in touch, the more likely it is I will be able to make your order. I have been known to take on orders the day before though- If you need a last minute cake, just reach out- I always try my best to squeeze orders in.

Do you have ready-made cakes/cupcakes for pickup?

Not often- only at markets, or immediately after markets if I haven’t sold out. Wagga Vegan Bakery is a one-woman show and it would not be sustainable for me to have products sitting & waiting on the off chance someone wants some last-minute cake. It seems ridiculous that I have to say this, but please don’t come to my house expecting to be able to buy something on the spot- actually, please don’t come to my house at all if I’m not expecting you- that just makes everyone uncomfortable! If you want to organise a custom order, your best bet is to send me an email at waggaveganbakery@gmail.com

why haven’t you responded to my enquiry?

I probably have! Check your spam account <3

I have been having a lot of issues with my email replies to website enquiries going straight to spam, so if you send in an enquiry, keep an eye on your spam folder! Otherwise, your best bet is to email me directly at waggaveganbakery@gmail.com

why can’t i just place an order? why does it ask if i have confirmed with you first?

I have had a few situations in the past where people have assumed Wagga Vegan Bakery is a proper storefront with a team of staff, and they’ve placed orders without checking that I can *actually* do them first! Sending me an email to confirm makes sure that I’m not already booked out, or away that day, or out of stock of certain ingredients. Having to refund orders costs me two transaction fees (ouch) and is disappointing for everyone involved.

why cant i order a 4 inch cake or a 6 pack of cupcakes?

My 4 inch cakes are for tiered cakes only- I no longer offer them as standalone cakes because they don’t quite use up a full batch of batter, and they take just as much work as bigger cakes. Same thing goes for a 6 pack of cupcakes or a 12 pack of minis- I am more than happy to do smaller pack sizes if I am doing a lot of baking that day anyway (e.g. markets, or I just have a few orders that day) so don’t hesitate to reach out! Just please don’t be upset if the answer is no.

can i order a mixed box of cupcakes?

Probably not. I don’t offer mixed boxes for custom orders, otherwise I’m left with random amounts of extra cupcakes or icing and no guarantee that someone else will want them. If I am doing a lot of baking already (e.g. if I’ll be at markets or I have a few orders that day) I can generally accomodate a mixed box, but there isn’t always a lot of flexibility on flavours. My minimum for custom orders is 12 regular sized cupcakes of one flavour or 24 minis. As mentioned in the previous question, don’t be afraid to ask! I’ll do my best to accommodate requests for mixed boxes, but please don’t be upset if I can’t.

can i call you/discuss an order over the phone?

If absolutely necessary, yes. I don’t answer unknown numbers though, so please send an email or a text first. I also prefer to have all order information in a written format, either via email or through the ordering forms on my website because I can be quite forgetful, and the last thing I want to do is mess up your order and leave you disappointed.

if you have any other questions, send me an email!
